Carlotta Edwards. 1894-1977. The daughter of the French artist
Ferdinand Pourrier, she studied at the St. John’s WoodArtSchool and specialised in ballet
subjects, attending rehearsals in order to make sketches for her
paintings. She exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and at
the Paris Salon and was a very popular artist for The Medici Society who
published numerous prints of her work.
